Strengths and Weaknesses

British Strengths-

-They had a bigger army.
-Had more money in the beginning of the war to start them off well.
-They have a well trained army.
-They win most battles.
-Had more resources starting the war with.
- Trained together for almost their whole life, so they were strong as a group.

British weakness:

- Had to get supplies shipped across the sea.
- This slowed down the war effort and ability.
- They aren’t familiar with the area.
- The uniforms were targets for the colonists to shoot upon.

Colonists strengths-

-They had a lot of women to help them with clothes, and ran their shops, and get money for guns and weapons, and some even fought in the war to help.
-They are on there land so they know were every thing is.
- The colonists won November 1776 the New Jersey war which stopped the war from ending.

Colonists’ weaknesses-.

-They lost most beginning battles.
-Badly organized, weren’t all the way prepared for war.
-Weren’t ready for the taxes after the war would end, they weren't worrying about the effects.
-Had absolutely no navy at all!
-Army was made up of poorly trained local militias.
-These militias also had a disadvantage because none of the men had ever fought together, unlike the British who had been training for a long period of time.
